Just getting caught up and thought I should post what is already out there. Couple of items from this weekend's Wizard World Los Angeles about the Legion.
According to Dan DiDio, they have already chosen the next writer and artist for the Legion. But they are holding off on the announcement for now. He did add that Tony Bedard will be writing some issues while waiting for the new creative staff to start. DiDio also said, cryptically, that the Legion's world will begin to "leak" into the mainstream DCU. Not sure what that means but Michael has a few thoughts. Finally, for now, over at Newsarama, Mark Waid had this to say: "Since it's been announced, I may as well confirm. Because Barry [Kitson's] moving to Marvel and we've been the Legion team since the relaunch, I can't see doing the book without him.
"The timing of it all means we had to move our plans up a few months, so issue #30 will be our last, and I'm moving on.
"That booming noise you hear is the sound of message board posters around the world whooping in delight. Judging by the internet, I will not be missed."
Far be it for me to tell anyone, especially a writer whose work I mostly enjoy, they are wrong but...You are wrong Mr. Waid. At least to the fans who really matter, not those who frequent the troll playground known as the official DC Comics boards. You will be missed as will Barry. I would like to have seen exactly what you had planned.
