Shooter Off Legion Before He Starts? PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 02 April 2007

Latest NewsAny information that comes through Rich Johnston's Lying in the Gutters should always be taken with a grain of salt but with April Fools just being yesterday maybe a bit more should be taken with this report from his column today. Jim Shooter has supposedly left the Legion project he was working on, even before he officially announced it. Of course, it was Johnston who started the rumor back in November to begin with.

SHOOTER OFF LEGION

With Mark Waid leaving "Legion," many thought this would be the moment Jim Shooter would take over the book.

That was certainly the belief at DC. Many of the people who had a problem with Jim Shooter elaborated upon here, have left the corporation, or have found their influence reduced, and the appointment had Levitz and DiDio's direct blessing.

However, in a twist of fate, I understand Shooter has left the Legion project on his own. Before anyone even had the chance to announce it.

No fear, Shooter's got his own project to work on based around selling the Kaballah to children, called "Seven." Not "Ten." I don't know why.

Like I said, grain of salt. Could just be dis-information or it could be true. And if the project was never officially announced I doubt we'll get an official story unless someone gets one of TPTB to admit to something at one of the upcoming conventions.
